Welcome to the Christmas Barn
at Hartley Wintney!

As a family we love Christmas, so we decided to help spread some Christmas cheer!

We take great delight in helping people find their perfect Christmas tree (whether that be 3ft or 12ft tall), along with a gorgeous Christmas wreath for your door and some beautiful decorations to adorn your tree.
We very much look forward to welcoming you and your family to the Christmas Barn this year.

COVID UPDATE

We’re working to make The Christmas Barn Hartley Wintney, as happy and enjoyable as ever, with particular emphasis on everyone’s safety and wellbeing when you visit us.

For those who would prefer to pre-order to collect or for delivery we are working to implement an online ordering system (it is taking a little bit of time so please bear with us!) but we still take orders by phone, text and e mail as always, so please don’t wait for us to join the 21st century online!

When you come to collect we will let you approve your tree / wreath etc before you drive away. 

For those with any added limitations this year we will assist in any way we can so that you can be confident for your safety and have the tree and decorations you want for your Christmas in this strange year.

While times may be complicated and challenging rest assured the Barn elves are busy and pulling out all the stops to make all things possible despite the pandemic!

VISITING
Everyone’s safety matters.
Please consider visiting us on a weekday this season if you’re working from home or taking a day off. This will help make a more even flow of visitors across all days of the week and prevent large weekends peaks necessitating a queuing system.

If we need to operate a queuing system you will be able to wait in your car and we will adopt a suitable protocol to manage visitor numbers.

We know choosing a tree is normally a family adventure; but, like so many things this year, your Christmas preparations can still be great fun even if done slightly differently.
Imagine - a tree ready and waiting along with all your decorations, a special tea or other treats and some Christmas music or a film could be an exciting surprise for your family coming home expecting a normal weekday evening.

 

MEET & GREET
We have increased the area within the Barn for this year and trees will be displayed in larger numbers by size, making it even easier for you to choose.
A one-way system will be operating round the Barn.
Please follow all guidance and any requests from staff who will be on hand to help and advise and please keep your group together and the number as low as possible for everyone’s comfort and safety.

Please:
- wear face masks at all times in the barn
- keep your group together and distanced from others
- use the hand sanitiser as you enter and leave the Barn


CHOOSING YOUR TREE

Trees will be displayed in groups by size for you to choose from.

You will be given an identifying ticket from your tree to take to the payment area and youwill be reunited with your re-netted tree in the car park on production of your ticket.

Card payments are preferred to reduce handling of cash between customers and staff.



DECORATIONS / STANDS / JAMS from our summer fruits / MARMALADES / HONEY / CHUTNEYS etc

Face masks must be worn in all areas within the Barn.

We have a selection of our own homemade jams, Pig 'n Pickles chutneys, honey etc available along with gorgeous decorations, decorated and undecorated wreaths and tree stands.

Payment for trees and all other items will be taken in the ‘shop’ area as you leave the Barn and we ask that just one member of ayour group stays to pay while everyone else returns to the car.
In this way we can manage numbers most effectively and enable a comfortable visit for all of our customers.
